Trip to Santorini

Santorini

On the 6th day of our holiday in Greece we went to Santorini. We were picked up early in the morning with a bus from the company that we went to Santorini. After a boat ride of 2 hours and a half we arrived in Santorini.

We first went to Oia, a very beautiful village in Santorini. The guide explained while we drove to the village. Oia is the typical village where you can take the most beautiful photos (by all white houses, churches …). We also got a sandwich in Oia.

Then we went to Fira, the capital of Santorini, Fira was also very beautiful but above all very exhausting, we have 100 steps to get upstairs. Once upstairs it was very nice, there was a beautiful church and of course the beautiful view.

Then we went to the popular black beach, ‘Perissa Beach’. Incredibly beautiful beach that was! We were told that our boat had 2 hours delay, which was not so nice. But because of that we have something nice to eat in a restaurant in Perissa Beach. Then we went to the harbor where we had to wait another half hour. We sailed with ‘Minoan Lines’, a society with huge boats.
Once arrived back in Heraklion it was already 11 o’clock. We have a drink in the hotel and then go to sleep.

What a great day!

Holiday in Crete

Day 1

We left on July 3, 2018. We left at Zaventem in Brussels, our flight was very early, around 7 o’clock already. It was a flight of 3 and a half, so it was reasonably long for me. From when we arrived it was already very hot weather, about 30 degrees. We stayed in “Arina Beach hotel”. We have not done so much the first day, we have some to the sea and the hotel just explores that was fun. Our room was really nice, I had a separate room with a sea view.

Day 2

We went to Rethymnon with a car we had rent in the city where we stay (Kokkini Hani). We drove 1h30 before we where in Rethymnon, it was really beautifull there and we bought a few souvenirs (herbs, a bracelet, a postcard) it was really fun!

We also went to a monastery, that was also really nice. It was very hot, in the sun it was certainly 38 degrees. When we came back we went to the pool for a moment and in the sea, I bought a diving glasses and i saw beautifull fishes in the water!

Day 3

On the 3rd day we went to Heraklion, the capital of Crete.

It was pretty busy but nice. We visited the castle, and a cathedral the view on top of the castle was very beautiful! In the afternoon we stayed in the hotel and we stayed at the pool.

Day 4

Today we rent a black cabrio, i think it is really beautifull! We went to Agios Nikolaos and then to Planka where we took the boat to Spinalonga, the lepra island. Spinalonga was really really beautifull, it is an island with a lot of history and memories.

Day 5

We have not really done anything special, we just have the pool and the sea.

Day 6

I will post day 6 on another blog post, we have been to beautiful Santorini.

Day 7

We left early in the morning, around 10 am we were picked up by the Tui van in our hotel.Then we went to the airport in Heraklion, our flight was at a quarter past 12. In the airport there was a small accident with a dog walking around freely and biting a small child. But all in all the flight went well, the plane was not full so that was pleasant. Back at Zaventem (Brussels) we took the car that was parked back home.
What a holiday! I will miss it there! I will definitely be back!

This is me

Hello everyone!

I start with my own blog, this is something that I have always wanted to do!

But first i want to introduce myself. So I am Evy Wauters, I live in Belgium close to Antwerp. I am 17 years old and I like to work out with fitness, drawing, traveling, watching series and of course sleeping haha. I go to my last year in September, I am at school in Sint-Niklaas, and I follow youth and disabled care there. Then I go to the High School, probably in Antwerp (I hope). You will of course get to know me better.

You mainly hear stories from me, but I will also write revieuws about beauty products, clothing and much more. I will also often write about traveling or about things that I experience, a bit like a diary.
