Holiday in Crete

Day 1

We left on July 3, 2018. We left at Zaventem in Brussels, our flight was very early, around 7 o’clock already. It was a flight of 3 and a half, so it was reasonably long for me. From when we arrived it was already very hot weather, about 30 degrees. We stayed in “Arina Beach hotel”. We have not done so much the first day, we have some to the sea and the hotel just explores that was fun. Our room was really nice, I had a separate room with a sea view.

Day 2

We went to Rethymnon with a car we had rent in the city where we stay (Kokkini Hani). We drove 1h30 before we where in Rethymnon, it was really beautifull there and we bought a few souvenirs (herbs, a bracelet, a postcard) it was really fun!

We also went to a monastery, that was also really nice. It was very hot, in the sun it was certainly 38 degrees. When we came back we went to the pool for a moment and in the sea, I bought a diving glasses and i saw beautifull fishes in the water!

Day 3

On the 3rd day we went to Heraklion, the capital of Crete.

It was pretty busy but nice. We visited the castle, and a cathedral the view on top of the castle was very beautiful! In the afternoon we stayed in the hotel and we stayed at the pool.

Day 4

Today we rent a black cabrio, i think it is really beautifull! We went to Agios Nikolaos and then to Planka where we took the boat to Spinalonga, the lepra island. Spinalonga was really really beautifull, it is an island with a lot of history and memories.

Day 5

We have not really done anything special, we just have the pool and the sea.

Day 6

I will post day 6 on another blog post, we have been to beautiful Santorini.

Day 7

We left early in the morning, around 10 am we were picked up by the Tui van in our hotel.Then we went to the airport in Heraklion, our flight was at a quarter past 12. In the airport there was a small accident with a dog walking around freely and biting a small child. But all in all the flight went well, the plane was not full so that was pleasant. Back at Zaventem (Brussels) we took the car that was parked back home.
What a holiday! I will miss it there! I will definitely be back!
